I guess it's true - monkeys CAN ride bikes
after all.

2009 version

Well, hey, we're not talking about just
any monkey - we're talking about me, JFB.
As you can plainly see with your
peepers, that's my bike. I do a lot bking. So much
so that I've cracked my frame, not to mention that I'm already on my third set of
cranks.

Where have I gone on my bike? Well, just mere weeks after "acquiring" my bike,
I decided to ride from Oceanside to San Diego would take me 5 hours to complete
45 miles. Now, keep in mind that my bike is a ONE-SPEED so once you hit Torrey
Pines, you have to get off and push at some point. There was a second huge hill
where I had to, in the immortal words of
Salt N Pepa,  push it..push it real good,
as well.

I've also pedaled the Bayshore Bikeway. This little trip is 25 miles starting near
Seaport Village (but first I gotta hit up some Ben and Jerry's, yo!) and ending up
in Coronado. Now, bicycles are NOT allowed on the bridge so you have to take
the looong way around. I've also done this round-trip so that's..umm..let me
count my little tootsies here..oh yeah, 50 miles. Click the image below, if you care
to. Here's a link with more details on the route:

I've also done the "Around Mission Bay" route. Cycling to and from the starting
point, as well as all the side trips (none that involve a business that sells
carne
asada burritos because that's too much. Hey, you fart on your own damn bike!)
involved, the distance came out to 33 miles. Here's a link with more details on the
route:

I've also done
The Santa Ana Bicycle Trail which, after being dropped off in West
Corona by the Metrolink (ok, forced off), is 35 miles to the ocean in Huntington
Beach.

I was also a part of the
San Diego Midnight Madness ride. Plus, Bike The Bay.

Hey! I'm keeping track of how many miles I ride each month. This information is
very important to your life so write it down, you bustah!

Jan through June - I wasn't keeping track but it had to be a couple hundred
miles, at the very least.
